The Divine Miss M announced yesterday that she will be taking Celine Dion's spot at the Colosseum beginning early next year. Celine's five year run of "A New Day" will have its final curtain call on December 15. Two months after that, on February 20, Bette plans to open her show with a bang! She says: "Get ready Vegas 'cause here I come! Caesars Palace will never be the same and to all those critics who have accused me of being 'tacky,' 'too much' and 'over the top' I say, you ain't seen nuthin' yet!" She signed a two year contract and will perform five nights a week, approximately one hundred shows per year. This veteran diva doesn't come cheap. Ticket prices are $95, $140, $175, and $250. Tickets for February 20 through March 9 are on sale now at Ticketmaster or at 1-877-7BETTEM.
